Thumbs up from me

Despite the negative reviews, I still went ahead and ordered some of these and I am really pleased that I have. I got the variery box, which states 2 of 6 flavours each, and that is what I got. It would have been nice to have one of each and then double up to fill, but hey.

I like the texture and don't find it dry at all, they need a decent bit of chewing, so I can't scoff this fast like chocolate, which is a good thing. Sometimes, I can only eat half a bar and I will save the other half for another day. Sometimes it is the entire bar, just depends on how hungry I am.

They are sweet, but not overly for me. They travel well and survive a good bashing about in my handbag as there is no coating to break and then crumble into your lap. Nice flavours too I have to say, so, if the variety box becomes available again, I would deffo order, and the cost was amazing. I think if you have not had a 'raw' bar before, maybe that could be a bit 'oh er' for you, but I have therefore it was not and I love these.

Update, variety box available again....order placed!

Many reviews don't mention this but no palm or rapeseed oil is a big +

Long story short: I bought these at £9 for 12. At that price, it's great. I would say though. If they’re above £14, look at the other options (I’d personally pick grenade but ON or huel are good, if they’re at similar prices or even lower than these bars)

Got the cookies and cream flavour. They taste decent for a flapjack. I’d say I’d still prefer the taste and texture of a grenade bar but for not having any palm or rapeseed oil is defo a plus. Has got vegetable oil but it is also half the price of most of the Grenada bars. It's essentially a slightly cookies and cream tasting flapjack with a very slight stingy aftertaste (good sting though). Size is decent. It's more dense than something like a grenade bar. Has slightly higher sugar but I’d say it helps it. Fibre is good, about 7.2g. Not too high in sugars. I've definitely seen bars with more but then again not on the grenade level of about 2, this has 3g.

Overall, I’d say most reviews are too harsh on it since they’re expecting a more traditional protein bar (think your PHDsmart's, Grenades and optimum nutrition) and it's not as ‘chocolatey’ as those but still tastes good and I would give it 4.5 stars and rounds to 5

Peanut butter is the best one.

Tried a few different flavours. Some taste a little artificial, some are fine but a bit underwhelming, and some I'm not always in the mood for. The peanut butter chocolate one however is what I'd call an "all day" protein bar. It's the one that I've enjoyed any day, tastes nice but not overly sweet, easy to stomach etc. So if you're undecided I'd say go for the peanut butter chocolate one.

Watch out for artificial flavours and colourings

Some of the flavours use artificial colours... just why?! Aren't these meant to be a "health" bar? I don't need my protein bars to be bright red, why not just let them be brown or whatever the natural colour is. They add colours like e129, which has been shown in studies to mess up your gut, and "may increase the risk of developing gastrointestinal cancer." so why add it?

Apart from that the would have been fine, they are dense and a bit dry, but meh, it's an protein oat bar, what do you expect.

Great for me!

Ok, I see what most of the reviewers mean here. As I NEVER eat ANY protein bar without a drink (usually, it's a generous amount of natural unsweetened green tea) their dryness which is talked here about a lot is not a problem at all for me and they are really good with a drink. First of all, their size is quite large and the price is very reasonable, unlike many other brands. Second, the amount of protein per bar is really good and ingridients are decent, though it is a bit high of carbohydrates and sugar, but if you generally stick to well-balanced diet and activity and probably don't eat them every day it is not a problem. I also like the variety of tastes (I bought a multiple tastes box) and am really enjoying these bars so far - they are filling and satisfy my sweet tooth :). The only downside is that they are a bit too sweet to my taste, but, as I said, for someone who tries to cut back on other sweets it is ok :). These bars are not bad at all they are just not for everyone, I guess, may be not for those who are going to eat them every day and on the go, otherwise I would recommend!

Not bad

I bought it to try out, as this flavour was at a decent price compared to others. The texture is fine, somewhat like a thicker NutraGrain bar. The flavour is ok, the white chocolate flavour could be more, and there's a very small cranberry aftertaste, which isn't as pleasant but not too bad. Protein content is good for the price, about 20g. Good fibre, as it is an oat bar. I'd probably try a different flavour next time.

Nicely flavoured and filling

This is a review of "Warrior Raw Protein Bars – 12 x 75g Oat Bar Flapjacks – High Fibre, Low Sugar – Ideal Meal Replacement or Healthy Nutrition Energy Snacks – HFSS/GMP Certified – UK Made (Strawberry Cheesecake)"

I ordered this box of Strawberry Cheesecake and also the Cherry Bakewell variety. This one (Strawberry Cheesecake) is by far my favourite, as I'm not big fan of Cherry Bakewells anyway. The bars are a nice texture, quite chewy and very filling. I'll be keeping a few in my van and in my camera bag for when I'm out and about and in need of sustenance between meals.

I'm familiar with the Warrior brand, having order creatine and protein powder products from them in the past and I find them to be one the better brands in the market - these are certainly nicer than many other protein bars that I have tried.

In terms of value for money, the current advertised price of £15.99 means that the bars are working out at around £1.33 each, which is probably about right for a decent bar from an established brand.

Nice with a hot drink

If you're looking for a protein bar that won't break the bank, Warrior bars are worth considering. I recently tried the Salted Caramel flavour, and while it wasn't the most luxurious protein bar I've ever had, it definitely delivered on protein and kept me feeling full.

One thing to note is that these bars are quite dense and a bit dry. They're definitely more of a "chew" than a "melt-in-your-mouth" experience. However, the flavour is good, with noticeable chunks of salted caramel throughout.

Compared to other brands I've tried, like Fulfil and Grenade, Warrior bars aren't as decadent. Those brands tend to be more like chocolate bars, but they also come with a higher price tag. I found that having a hot drink with the Warrior bar helped with the dryness.

Overall, I'd say Warrior Salted Caramel protein bars are a solid choice if you're looking for a good value, high-protein snack. Just be aware that they are a bit on the dry side. I'd happily buy these again, especially when I can get them for under £1 a bar.
