Bucked Up Hydration

I recently tried the Bucked Up Hydration - Polar Blue Electrolyte and Hydration Powder Drink Mix, and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed! The first thing I noticed was the flavor—it's vibrant and refreshing without being too sweet, which is a huge plus for me. The "Polar Blue" taste is kind of like a fun mix of berry and something tropical; it really hits the spot after a workout or a long day.

Mixing it up is super easy, too. Just toss a packet into your water bottle, shake it a bit, and you’re good to go. No weird clumps or gritty texture, which is always a concern with drink mixes. Plus, it's great to know I’m keeping my electrolytes balanced, especially when I've been sweating it out at the gym or enjoying a sunny day outside.

I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I definitely feel more energized and hydrated throughout the day. It's become a staple in my post-workout routine. If you’re looking for a delicious way to boost your hydration game, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try!

Polar Blue is not my favorite Bucked Up flavor. I don't like the aftertaste. It's an effective and great boost of hydration, and I'm happy with the ingredients as well. I believe that it's a good value for the cost.

I love Bucked Up. Great flavor and better than Gatorade in my opinion. Convenient and easy to travel with. Works well with rehydrating and keeping you going.

These weren't my favorite drink mix. It had a lot of citric acid to it which just made it taste sour and little sweetness or flavor. I've only been able to drink one stick pack and the rest are not just sitting in my cupboard.

I play roller hockey outside several times a week in full gear in 100 degree temperatures. So hydration is a challenge. I have used various other hydration packets and drinks and I believe that this one does the job of assisting with hydrating well.

It feels funny to say that this product works well because it's difficult to quantify. So let me be blunt to help you understand how I came to this conclusion that it works well.

For me and my body there are two tell tale signs that I am hydrated or not. The process is always the same. I start hydrating at least 24 hours prior to activity with one packet in roughly 20 oz of water. I then drink 20 oz bottles of water as frequently as I can for the next 24 hours. When I have to start urinating frequently (1-2 times an hour) I know I am hydrated. The other sign is when I start playing, if I am dehydrated, I get severe dry mouth very quickly and no amount of water during the game will cure it.

So this is how I judged the efficacy of this product. Within about 12 hours I started urinating more frequently - which is really fast in comparison to others. When I played I did not get dry mouth and I did not feel depleted as seems to happen if I am not hydrated.

The only downside for me on this product was the taste. It's partially my fault for ordering this flavor because I don't like the blue sports drinks from any of the major brands either. So if you like blue sports drinks you will probably be fine. The flavor is quite strong compared to other hydration packets I have tried. After refilling the bottle with water three times the flavor was still very present. I found it to be a little tart for my liking. I would probably be just fine with some of the other flavors though.

The packet dissolved fairly easily and had a significant pale blue color. I was also pleasantly surprised by the box. The top 10% of the box tears off cleanly which leaves a nice neat box to keep them in with easy access and a small footprint.

I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the sodium is less than half of the packets I usually use. Vitamin B is about double what the packets I usually use are. Other than that they seem fairly comparable.

I would buy these again - just a different flavor.
