100% Plant protein USN

I mixed one scoop with 300ml of water & it didn't taste nice at all. It was thin & bitty, although I blended it in a blender. I also tried it with oat milk & the taste was the same, the mixability wasn't that good either. I won't be buying it again!

Reduced protein content all of a sudden

I have just finished my first try of the Vanilla Maple flavour. It's a good flavour, especially if mixed with oat milk. It also works in porridge quite well.

I wasjust about to re-order, but I noticed the picture and description says 23g of protein for that flavour. I thought it was 26g, so grabbed the bag I have in the kitchen from approx two weeks ago (circa 23rd Oct 2021). Yup, it was 26g of protein for this flavour, so it has suddenly been reduced.

The purpose of a protein powder is the protein it provides. Clearly if the protein content is reduced, you're getting more of something else instead of the protein if the serving size remains the same - which it has.

USN have clearly reduced the quality of the product while maintaining price. Maybe 3g per serving is not a deal-breaker for some, but it comes down to if you have a lot of daily servings of such powders for your protein needs and cannot squeeze in or otherwise require additional servings.

For me, when I see companies doing this sort of thing, I become extremely put off and tend to go elsewhere.

The 26g per serving product was a great tasting soya-free vegan protein powder. I wish USN to return to that protein content and not reduce product quality on the quiet. Potential customers should check the protein content: if less than 23g per 30g serving they must have reduced quality again. Hopefully USN revert to 26g per 30g serving instead.

Great product.

Better flavour (Vanilla Maple tastes like butterscotch), than the Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder that I have also tried. I mixed one scoop with 300ml of half oat milk and half water (but I might use all oat milk next time), and it tasted great. No nasty Stevia after taste. It's high protein and low calorie, with a good balance of essential nutrients. It is very sweet though, so if you don't enjoy sweet things, be mindful of this. The Bulk Powders product ended up in the bin (only because of the after taste), but I will be buying this USN 100% Pure Plant Protein again.

Note: Have tried the strawberry flavoured and was disappointed. Didn't taste nice, and not much like strawberries.

Not very nice

Tried this plant based protein as I was struggling to find a decent tasting low calorie low carb and without artificial sweetener protein drink for post workout. I stuck with it for a good few weeks but tbh what's the point when it tastes awful and will not mix into a smooth drink even with an electric mixer. Very poor. I now make my own protein drinks knowing they are delicious and nutritious

Great Shakes

My Favourite brand, love the vegan shakes as I'm slightly lactose intolerant. The shakes taste very good and arnt chalky or dodgy textured, Seems to keep me full untill lunch. The flavours are great too. Great Value for money.

Chalky but taste good

A good tasting protein powder is a rare find for me but this is one of them. Doesn't blend as easily as I would like but not bad. I do think it's a little overpriced.

1,000% amazing and would highly recommend!

I have not tried many protein powders but this is 1,000% amazing and would highly recommend!

I was pleased to see this on My GYm Supplements UK because my go-to merchant, was out of stock for a while. So, I purchased two on here, of course.

- It mixes well with both milk and water - no bits/no grains/no lumps

- It doesn't taste like your typical "powdered" protein

- It's also vegan..hello somebody(?)

If you are a chocolate lover like myself and you are trying to limit your chocolate intake, this cures those cravings and is satisfactory enough - for me.

My delivery also arrived under 48 hours, without prime (hello?) - Thank you, guys!

Worth the money

Was very sceptical with protein since I've had to go dairy free, tried so many and this one tops them all.

Pros: very flavourful, very smooth texture, unlike most vegan proteins which are VERY gritty, not sickly artificially sweet tasting (and I have a sweet tooth) Packaging is made from paper, so better for environment

Cons: VERY VERY SLIGHTLY earthy, hardly noticeable unless you're really trying to point it out, quite pricey for protein (quite bitter as I paid £26 and then it went on sale for £19 the next day, sods law haha!)

But I would say it is deffo worth the money for good quality, this is the 7th vegan protein brand and I've FINALLY found one that's the closest to dairy whey protein.

I chose the chocolate flavour, hope this review helps :)
