Quest Nutrition Bar

This is what case out of my mouth when I swallowed my first bite of the first bar "...That is incredible" before finishing off the entire bar.

I have eaten most of quest bars and this is perfect. Macros are amazing (as usual) but the flavor and texture is lovely. The bar has the little raspberry seeds, white chocolate (which are like blocks of white chocolate chunks now ), the silky chewiness of their protein is like cookie dough it is just so smooth now! and the top it off there is that after taste "tang" from the raspberry that you get from real raspberry and white chocolate cookies... its is genius and I will be buying more when I am done with the whole box... in about 5 minutes haha!

Nice flavour this time of year

Had loads of these on the past, they were the best tasting protein bars I ever had. I didn't order them for a while as I fancied a change. Since then they must have changed the recipe because i took one bite or of this and couldn't eat the rest. They leave a weird taste in your mouth, no chocolate flavour at all either.

Don't know what you've changed Quest but your protein bars are now disgusting. I deserve my money back for these

Like many others - I purchased these after reading lots of reviews including one in which they were chosen as the best protein bar out of 50 for their taste, affordability and most importantly - NUTRITIONAL SPECS.

Having in the past eaten a wide variety of protein bars/cookies etc when I first tried the quest bar they are genuinely extremely delicious and tasty. They are, given the ingredients and amazing claim that there are 21G of Carbohydrate per bar of which 17g are dietary fibre and only 1g of which is sugars. This, if true, is nothing short of phenomenal given the truly amazing taste and texture (though a but stiff in admittance!) - if you compare this to competitor bars like maximuscle their bars have 16.5g of Carbs of which 10.2g are sugars! (Which as you should know are the worst kind as they have 0 nutritional value and cause a massive insulin spike)

******* The operative word here is "claim." Currently, the makers of Quest Bars are been sued in a class action law suit in California as the plaintiff asserts the claims are misleading with regards to the amount of "bad carbs" in the protein bar - and claim the amount of sugar actually present in the bar could be as much as 750% higher!! This is a very recent claim and the makers of Quest Bars have refuted all allegations but the plaintiff claims independent lab tests on the amount of dietary fibre have shown it has been massively exaggerated and therefore the nutritional specs are way off (making it really not that good for you! ****

I have already bought this box and yes they are delicious. The taste to me personally sugeests, in my opinion, that there is a hell of a lot more sugar in it than the nutritionals suggest. If you are a serious athlete and want to err on the side of caution it may be worth waiting this one out - if your an average Joe like me who lifts - give it a punt and decide for yourself.

I've had a fair few protein bars and in my experience most of them are horrible tasting and usually not that great for you. I read an amazing article here http://www.leanitup.com/quest-bar-the-best-protein-bar-on-earth/ that made the comparison of various protein bars with a Snickers or Mars bar without the protein that showed to me how poor most of them are for you. Quest bars with low to zero carbs make the massive difference and prove that you can get a good protein boost on the go without having to eat rubbish too.

Taste wise I really enjoyed the chocolate peanut butter flavour, reminded me of a less sickly sweet reece's bar. The only issue I had was the initial bite was quite chewy but once you got eating it had a nice consistency that wasn't overly powdery or hard to swallow like some protein bars.

These bars have are great for helping me meet my macros for protein, but with reduced carbs - however they are very, very sweet - too much so for my taste. I will finish the box I received, but will stick to my promax lean dark chocolate mint bars for future orders - which taste richer and more satisfying.

Edited to update: I've now finished the box, and these have grown on me. I've become used to the sweet taste and really like them now - just goes to show that first impressions are not always right!

They are Quest bars.... if you've had them before you know what to expect: pretty hard, pretty 'fake' sweet, but also incredibly satisfying and filling!

I tend to either cut mine in to little chunks to nibble on throughout the day (it saves my teeth, and also makes it last longer as a 'sweetie' substitute) or alternatively, they are the best when warmed in the microwave for 20 seconds or so.

I think this is the best flavour I've tried, though cookies and cream is pretty similar too (though has biscuity chunks)

Me and my husband really like them, and they are far cheaper on here than in H&B! Give them a go if you want something sweet and high protein, because unfortunately high protein sweet stuff doesn't really tend to occur 'naturally', so things like this kind of have to step in to fulfil that craving!

Lots of protein, lots of fiber, low carbs, and above all it tastes great 👍 👌 😋

Perfect for those with allergies. I am gluten and lactose intolerant and I love how these bars are delicious, filling and safe. They have been a perfect addition to fitness and wellness routine and make sure i reach my protein goals. Put them in the microwave and pair with some ice cream for the tastiest results :D

However.. pricey though...

Tastes a bit weird

I bought these protein bars as an alternative to high-calorie unhealthy snacks and I was happy with quick delivery. When I had a bite, surprisingly it tasted OK so I kept eating it. To be fair, this protein bar may be alright all in all except for bizarre aftertaste, which can't be described in words. If my assumption is correct, the artificial sweeteners used would be a reason why I felt like this. It would be nicer if I could enjoy eating this without noticing the taste. As a replacement, It could be one of the options available on the market but it's not the best.

The macro values of these bars are brilliant. They are a bit hard and chewy but I don't mind that. If this is a problem just heat them in the oven or microwave. Personally I think these taste really good.

I found this product to have more flavour than I expected, which made it feel more like a treat than a chore to eat. Although it doesn't have the texture of a chocolate brownie, I found it to be quite satisfying either as an afternoon snack or a post-workout treat. I think it was a little over-priced, but I understand that there aren't any shops in Britain which currently sell them, so I'm sure the price includes the shipping as well.

I would recommend this product for those who prefer to actually eat something rather than just having a protein shake after going to the gym, as each bar contains roughly the same amount as a protein shake would, and you have the additional satisfaction of feeling full!

Lets do a honest review.

Taste is not bad but could be better. When cold it looks like you are chewing rubber (honestly). But for a 180kcal bar, with 25g carbs which of these are 17g fibre, I guess we can't expect much more. I won't say no to another one, but will not buy again. Will try to find other options.

These are great, but a bit pricey for regular purchase. Also can be super hard and chewy, I love that, but if you have sensitive teeth or a weak jaw then these will hurt, a friend of mine tried and he loved the flavour but took him 20 mins to eat one (quick zap in the microwave, 10 seconds seems to help - without the wrapper of course).

Hi these bars are very tasty but this particular flavour has an overwhelming taste of bitter chocolate as well as a strange aftertaste. The flavours I prefer are white chocolate and raspberry, apple pie and chocolate chip cookie dough. I like the mixed packs of 15 different flavours as it gives you a great variety to choose from.

This is the second one I've tried and I have to say I prefer the cookies and cream. It's still tasty but not as yummy. I love peanut butter and chocolate together but most of time I find the flavour too sweet or sickly. I think they've nailed it on the taste with the bar. It's pretty chocolish but with a hint of peanut butter so it's not too sweet. So if you're after a real sweet chocolate with a strong peanut butter treat you might be disappointed. Also, I'm not loving the texture of this that much. Chewy but slightly sticky. Heated up in the microwave and it's even tastier and better on the teeth. I would still order this again but compared to the other flavour this comes in second. A big issue I have is the price of these bars, which vary between flavours. I ordered these because they were cheaper then the cookies and cream (which went up more than what I paid. But, when I checked back a day later the price was lower (lower than original price I paid as well), also for these bars too. I was checking and the price just kept changing within hours and days for all of the flavours. So if you want to order the flavour you want I would wait around and in the meantime try a cheaper flavour until the price of the desired flavour goes down. I just find this really annoying since it changes so often so you need to keep an eye out for the best price.

These bars are amazing from any other seller BUT this seller. I eat one every day as my 3pm meal. It's almost like eating a chocolate bar it tastes so good...but DO not order from this seller- the protein shop. I baught my last lot from them, they wernt eadable they were so hard. They are discoloured as if they are gone off or something has happened to them. I've contacted them a week ago and I still have no reply. Typically as they have got my money now, they don't care! I hope no one else wastes a penny with these!

I've only tried the Peanut Butter flavour.

Pros:

* less than 12g polyols per 100g (my current favourite bar has 19g per 100g)

* no nasty maltitol

* low carb

* high protein

* very sweet but I've tasted more sickly sweet ones

Con:

* has a slight gritty texture like many protein bars based on whey protein

* looks and feels nothing like a normal chocolate bar

* chocolate chunks taste nothing like chocolate and have a bitter aftertaste

* uses unnecessary sucralose (technically from sugar so the ‘no added sugar’ that companies use is a loophole)

I bought these from a Reddit recommendation on protein bars with fewer polyols. Compared to my favourite bars (brand starts with N, male name) they are less sweet, which I prefer. I also appreciate less polyols (these are the modern age sugars - just as addictive, will raise blood sugar even if less so, can wreak havoc on digestive tract with overconsumption).

Other than those two points, my favourite bars are actually really tasty, they feel like I’m eating a normal chocolate bar (salty peanut is my favourite), and no weird aftertaste. And much cheaper too. (Although I wish they had less polyols, no sucralose, & less sweet).

If I hadn't bought a whole box I’ll probably never bother with these again. As it is, I’ll finish the box because they’re not terrible but I’ll try to pick out the weird ‘chocolate’ chunks because they really are bad.

Oh well, worth a shot. Still on the perpetual quest for a tasty, healthier, not sickly protein bar.

About the product - i am crazy about the cookie dough ones, however these attracted my eye with the way they are presented on the pack. The product inside is nothing like that. Is just a plain bar. I'll take it as my mistake to believe 100% that the bar might look just as it's presented on the pack.

BUT it tastes good (tried microwaving for 10 sec as I've seen others advicing). It's really nice and I'll deffo buy it again.

Keeps hunger away for like 5 hours and eating these bars + cambridge diet skakes helped loose 8kg withing 2 months.

Also, compared to ALL other products on the market this one has the lowest calories and highest protein intake.

These are so yummy ! Perfect treat with my cuppa after the gym . I don't feel like I'm missing out as I am a sweet treat addict but they are so filling and tasty . Sometimes I pop the bar in the microwave for 5-10 seconds and serve with 0% Greek yogurt . I can not recommend these bars more ! I have tried every protien bar going and this flavour is the best !

I've previously bought the Quest s’mores bars and although expensive they were very tasty.

Not able to get hold of them any longer, I opted to try these, what a complete and utter waste of money. They appear to have been melted at some point. If you can get them out of the packaging it's a good start. They are so sticky.

They’re just not worth the money in comparison to grenade bars at nearly half the price. I would not go back to quest after this experience
