Misleading images

Ingredients and nutritional information does not match the image shown which is very misleading. Far lower protein content than shown and this is made up of different ingredients/quantities than shown.

After feeling quite cheated I felt like giving the product 1 star. It was however good value, mixes well and taste is fairly inoffensive. Didn't taste of strawberry at all really but also didn't taste horrendously sweet like many powders.

To sum up, OK product but isn't as advertised so beware.

Brilliant product for gains. (Head to bottom for TLDR)

If you are looking for a VERY cost effective (possibly THE most cost effective) Protein powder then honestly look NO further.

Containing over 90 gms of protein in each "daily" serving which is 4 scoops.-- (But there is so muchin the bucket it still lasts about 6 weeks to two months.) --Which is equal to almost 4 cans of tuna, Or 3 (after shrinkage) normal chicken breasts,

Or 7 eggs.. etc etc.

If you look around at "competitive" products on My GYm Supplements like 5kg SCI-MX Nutrition Muscle Meal ) this gives you 46 Gms protein,

and 51 carbs (in 2 scoops) half the protein, and twice the carbs, as Nutrisport 90+.

Or USN Muscle Fuel STS High, which gives you 44 protein, 49 carbs. (Now these alternative products are great if you require complex carbs as part of your routine / plan / training.

But if you are going after Maximum protein intake from your whey supplement, with your training regime, and in combination with food. Well...the numbers speak for themselves.

And on a MAXIMUM point of importance. I simply cannot understand any of these "reviews, or reviewers" down voting this exceptional product because of the taste??

I have purchased many tubs over years, and seen "All kinds of gains" To me this whole taste thing is the height of (lets be nice) nonsensical.

You aren't buying this (Or any whey product) as a nice tasty treat. Your buying this to help you grow.

So when you've blitzed the weights, and the muscle synthesis kicks in, your body is receiving the max building block for gains, you can feed it.

Yes, OFC you can flavor it further if you require. but why would you?

The first tub I bought years ago was simply VILE, it was like 1000% concentrated malt. So I just gulped it all down, knowing it was a means to an end. And then (not knowing they had improved the taste 100 fold) bought the next tub.

Since then they have seriously improved the "chocolate" (I always buy) flavor. And its like milk shake now. But (again) lets be honest you chug it down twice and day...job done.

So if thats the worst thing you need to endure to achieve your goal... lol. If only it was that simple.

TLDR: Amazing stuff, great price, decent flavour.

Buy some / Train / Eat (and supplement) / Rest / Grow.

Go Chocolate, even if you're not a chocolate person, and then give it a proper go!

Protein powders are nothing new to me, I've previously bought much 'better' protein powders, 3 or 4 times the cost of this, but impossible to drink, terrible mixing, and having often lower protein cont. than this. But 90+ is defiantly now the one i'd recommend.

First try of 90+ chocolate i blended up as per intrusions with water, and chugged it down, but within 20 minutes, i threw it all back up again, not a great start... Next i tried blending it up with milk and putting it on wheatabix cereal, that didnt work either- blender made it too airy so it was just like foam, couldn't eat it, threw that batch in the bin. Next try, i halfed the portion size to one scoop of protein powder and 250 ml of milk and mixed it in a shake bottle, and went for it, with a little bit of grimacing, SUCCESS! Continued with that portion size 4 times that day- once with each meal, and the next day i graduated to 500ml with 2 scoops, because i found my self wanting more! and now i REALLY LIKE the taste!

To start of with this, i was grimacing and gagging reminded of my past horrible proteins, i disliked the slightly chalky texture of this and the taste was a bit questionable, but i kept at it, experimented around and eased my self into it, and now i'm having it twice a day, getting 90g of protein from the powder and 40g from the milk, so 130g extra protein in my diet each day in tasty low cal chocolate milk shake form!

My recommendation on choosing a flavour would be to go for chocolate- personally i'm not a chocolate person, or a milkshake person, in fact, the idea of a regular chocolate milkshake is actually really sickly to me, but 90+ chocolate milk shakes.. HELL YEAH. the chocolate flavour isn't chemically or really sweet, and it covers that typical protein powder 'gag reflex flavour' excellently. In selecting your flavour, you might be tempted to go for strawberry, banana or vanilla, and while i've not tried them in 90+ yet, from other brand experience, i'd still say stay clear of them, as they're often not as you'd expect them, more chemically, overly sweetened, and less healthy.

To summarise- Experiment with different ways of mixing, ( i recomend semi skimmed milk, hand shaken to mix), ease yourself into it, then enjoy. Good flavour. Great mixing. Is a little chalky, but you get used to it really quickly, don't worry! great value. great protein content. chocolate is great. GIVE IT A GO!

Great Protein, just a shame about the taste!

With such a high protein content (86g in 100g) this is ideal for 'bulking' or just general maintenance of size. I have been monitoring the market for protein brands that are 80%+ in protein value and were other brands like 'optimum gold standard', 'maximuscle' and 'PHD' all have high protein contents, they come at an expensive price for usually only 1 or 2KG.

This product is not only cheap (for how much you get) it has a high protein content. Therefore this makes it great for people on a budget (like myself)

Having said that, opting for the cheap option comes at a cost, this is the form of taste. If you are a fussy protein drinker like myself, this product may NOT satisfy you. It doesn't taste like chocolate (in my opinion) and when mixed, there is still a grainy taste present, even after using a blender and mixing thoroughly.

My verdict overall is that although this product is cheap (in comparison to others), the taste is awful, and for such a large amount of 5KG (I will have to endure the taste) for me I don't think I will buy this product again.

Dont buy if you cant handle the bad taste

I bought this product from a shop near my home. It is a good product protein wise, but it tastes awful. It is very grainy and tastes and smells really bad. I want to drink it to get the protein but I always feel like throwing up whilst drinking it!

One of the best

After researching protein supplements, this is one of two leading products (proof of this here: [...]

If you have a good diet this will probably taste sweet and I suggest using a good mixer to make sure it's not powedery when you drink it but it's fine - just tastes like a 'thin' milkshake.

More importantly, the protein/kcals ratio is high so with a good routine it won't pile on the fat like many of the high carb/sugar supplements.

worst taste ever

possibly the worst tasting protein shake of all time. all i can taste is a horrible artificial sweetener. it reminds me of the old weight gain powders of the eighties, loaded with sugar. while the price on a 5000g tub seems great, it is not money well spent. i have had to buy an unflavoured protein, and mix it in with this one,to make it at least drinkable. never again. pay a little bit more for the other brands.

HORRIFIC TASTE!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Seriously do not buy unless u are one of these men or women who drink other people's vomit for a largh up the local rugby club.. it tastes terrible , I'm frequent trainer and have tried many the protein over the years my protein.com , maximimuscle, usn, and this is buy far the worst thing I have ever drank in my life! I don't ever write reviews but I just had to spend sum time to warn off just 1 person will be worth this 5 minutes of time. I will be taking myself straight back to my protein.com thank you very much. Less protein apparently but at least I can get it in me in first place and I'll just top it up with bit if sus instead ;-)'
