Oh boy, let me tell you about the HIGH5 Cycle Pack! As a die-hard cyclist who practically lives on two wheels, I had the pleasure of putting this pack to the test, and it did not disappoint. This nifty kit has got your energy, hydration, and recovery needs all wrapped up in one tidy package, and it's a game-changer, my friends.

Energy Gels

First off, let's talk about the energy gels. They’re like little packets of joy in various flavors that are tasty but not too sweet. Perfect for those mid-ride energy slumps, these gels are easy to rip open and gulp down, even when you're zooming down a trail. And hey, some even have caffeine for that extra zing when you need it most.

Hydration Tablets

Now, the hydration tablets. Oh, these are the real MVPs! They dissolve faster than you can say “hydration” and have this refreshing taste that makes you want to keep sipping. Electrolytes? Check. No more leg cramps and your energy levels stay steady. These are a lifesaver on those scorching hot days when you're sweating bullets.

Energy Bars

Onto the energy bars—these are your best buddies for long hauls. They’re compact, easy to stash in your jersey, and pack a punch with a balanced mix of carbs, proteins, and fats. Recovery Drink

One for the Dragon ride and one for the etape du tour.

I’d been looking at getting a pack of gels, tub of drink mix, a load of bars etc as I’d ran out.

This seemed a better idea in the end.

I also wanted all one brand so I could track what my stomach agrees with (or not).

Buying this actually means I might finish the lot before the dates run out - which I do have a problem doing with multipacks of gels/bars/endurance drinks.

Good bottles, the gels are inoffensive and easy to swallow- they also don't upset my stomach as some others do.

I also bought a Maurten multipack thing as that was what was to be at the feed stations in France.

That had hardly anything in.

This high 5 one was much better value for money.

Having been a long time High5 user (mostly for their electrolyte tabs and older formula recovery drink - chocolate) I opted to try this pack mostly to try their new recovery chocolate formula and to try the energy drink sachets that I'd never used before.

Everything has been great...well, besides the recovery powder. Awful cannot begin to describe this pea protein flavoured monstrosity (and that's coming from someone who likes pea crisps and raw pea flavour). Truly, unpalatable in taste. I guess the one good thing going for it is the texture, that's great.

Buy if you don't mind the wasted chocolate recovery sachet.

Side note - go by the picture not the description - there are no zero sachets/gels. The only zero is the electrolyte tablets.

Brought this sample pack because it was heavily discounted and I had never tried High5 products previously. I was very impressed with the taste and quality of the samples, so much so that I have purchased more of this brand

Useful variety for longer rides and runs. The hydration tabs and gels are easy to carry and digest. Flavours are mixed — some are better than others — but overall, they are effective—a practical starter pack for those looking to test different options.

It's a great product. Great flavour but minor thighs could make it better:

1. The drinks sachets are for a 500ml mix, and cycling bottles are 750ml. So you have to combine them or opt for a weaker mix.

2. The bottle was a bonus but the bite valve is so stiff it strains the teeth to open it. It's a real jawbreaker. So I can't see myself using it again, and definitely won't let my kids use it.

The gels great, the bar hits the spot during a long ride and the recovery mix is perfect.

I have been a fan of High 5 Products for years, and recently I decided to try out the Cycle pack because of the great value it offers. This pack contains a wide variety of products, allowing you to explore and determine which flavors and products work best for you during your bike rides. It's an excellent starting point for anyone looking to improve their cycling nutrition and hydration. I highly recommend this pack to all cyclists out there!
