Fighter Shots

These are my favorite ginger drinks, taste great, good balance of ginger and honey.

Only downside is the price as cannot afford to buy them all the time.

I knew these were expensive going in but anyway. First few subscribe and save orders worked well, last two have not been delivered for I don't know what reason. Some kind of unavailability. Anyway. When they are delivered they're fine, however they clearly have two different suppliers for the turmeric & ginger fighter shots. So one lot will come with metal screw top bottles and one lot with black plastic screw top bottles with some shrink wrap on for security. Both versions have positives and negatives.

The metal screw top bottles are easier to open and easier to drink from, but the juice mix inside often looks grainy and there tends to be a clump of stuff at the bottom of the bottle which refuses to disperse even if you shake it up hard beforehand, and is unpleasant when you drink the shot and end up with a lump of that in your mouth. The taste is also earthier. These are delivered in a box with little cardboard separators between the bottles.

The black plastic screw top ones with the plastic covering are an absolute pain in the ass to open, either you will need some amount of fingernail to tear the plastic, or a knife. Once that plastic is gone the lid opens easily enough. The bottle neck itself is narrower so the shot kind of glugs into your mouth and overall it's not as easy to drink as the other kind. However, the shot mix in this one appears brighter in colour, clearer and not with a grainy appearance or texture. So I would say this one is nicer tasting and easier to drink overall.

If they could put the not grainy mix into the metal screw top lid bottles, that would be a more enjoyable shot experience overall.

Not sure where my last two subscribed orders are so have been unable to take photos to show the two versions. Never sure which version is going to turn up, would prefer more consistency as if I had a choice I wouldn't buy the grainy mix.
