What makes C4 Ultimate different

This isn’t a “starter” pre‑workout. C4 Ultimate combines 300 mg caffeine for clean, hard‑hitting intensity with a clinical-style pump and endurance matrix headlined by 7 g L‑Citrulline and 4.8 g CarnoSyn Beta‑Alanine. The result? A fast rise in motivation, a fuller “on” feeling as your pump builds, and the stamina to keep your form sharp through the final reps. Many users notice a brief tingling sensation—that’s the beta‑alanine doing its thing.

Engineered for performance you can feel

  • High‑stim energy: 300 mg caffeine delivers intensity that lasts through your entire session.
  • Pump and performance: 7 g L‑Citrulline supports nitric oxide to help you look and perform your best.
  • Endurance support: 4.8 g CarnoSyn Beta‑Alanine helps you push through the burn and finish strong.
  • Reliable consistency: 20 servings designed for your biggest training days.
  • Great taste, easy mix: Smooth, refreshing flavours you’ll actually look forward to.

Who it’s for

Built for experienced gym‑goers and competitive athletes who want a high‑stim, fully dosed pre‑workout. Ideal for bodybuilding, powerlifting, CrossFit, and HIIT athletes chasing energy, pump, and focus—and for anyone ready to graduate from entry‑level formulas to something seriously effective.

Flavours you’ll crave

Choose from bold, refreshing flavours that make your pre‑workout a highlight, not a chore: Tutti Frutti, Cosmic Rainbow, Bubblegum, and Lemon Twist. Mixes smoothly with water so you can sip and go.

What you get per scoop

  • 300 mg caffeine for explosive training energy
  • 7 g L‑Citrulline to support nitric oxide and full, skin‑tight pumps
  • 4.8 g CarnoSyn Beta‑Alanine to help extend endurance when it counts
  • Plus supporting ingredients that round out the “Ultimate” experience

Always a good pump

Awesome and painful at the same time

That tingling feeling in your skin when the blood rushes to provide you with a muscular pump. Really missed that feeling. Great energy and strength in the workouts. Only downfall is the come down. Hits you hard and rips all the energy out of you, leaves me feeling immensely tired and weak. Maybe I'm taking too much and should start with 1/2 serving to start.

Nothing good to say about it!

I've found the C4 products have all become really bad compared to about 5 yrs ago when it was hardly known. This is just another poor quality one. Bubblegum tastes yuk, even though i ordered a different one. get a bit of face tingle but dissapears within a couple if mins. For the energy this gives you, you can get an alternative £15 cheaper which tastes a bit nicer. But the major thing i noticed is the crash. Now for the amount of kick you get the crash isnt worth it. I mean i dont usually nap in the day but this stuff hits you hard. I wont buy this again or recommend.

Gets me in the mood to train, but kinda sickly taste, and not sour/fizzy.

Don't get me wrong this product gets me in the mood to train, but doesn't give me strength, I believe this is because it doesn't contain malate in it or creatine. It has L-citruline but not the combination with malate which will also have made it fizzy/spicy/sour kinda flavour. Lemon is decent but chemical aftertaste, I have tried bubblgum too, that is way worse flavour, lemon is so much better than bubble gum, I could not stomach bubble gum, and to be fair these are best mixed with creatine/malate supplementation I used one that changes the flavour adds a kick to it so makes it edible and more appealing.

I took 2 stars off because on it's' own these have a really sickly nasty chemical stale after taste, and 700ml recommened dose 25.4g is hard to measure and stomach. I prefer the half dose of 1 scoop 12.7g for 150mg caffeine, mixed in with something that tastes nice, and decent hit of the rest and then it lasts 40 days that way making it worth 30 quid for buying bubblegum, and 22 quid for lemon version on offer. Also it doesn't taste sour/fizzy and doesn't have malate in it.

P.S

Although it's a decent pre-workout as it gets me in the mood, the full dose gave me headaches and dizziness. The red skin/pins n needles you get/feel over your body is beta-alanine which eventually disappears, it is an amino acid that helps to improve physical performance, and a few other things for the body, unfortunately there's no good evidence to support this ingredient from what I've learned over the years.

If anything the itchy feeling makes me want to move my body, this maybe psychological. So if you don't want your full body to itch, look for something without beta-alanine, but if you can bare it, eventually your body gets used to it and you don't feel anything. Tested on myself for years of training, I get used to the dosage level and no longer feel beta-alanine effects, but stopping it for months and then taking it again I feel the itchy feeling again.

Absolutely Disgusting – Worst Pre-Workout I've Ever Tasted

I've tried a LOT of pre-workouts over the years, but this Tutti Frutti flavor from C4 is hands down the worst-tasting one I've ever had. I genuinely don't know how this made it past quality control. It's not just bad it's undrinkable.

No matter how much water I added (way more than the recommended amount), the taste stayed absolutely vile. It has this weird, almost slimy texture like drinking flavored psyllium husk or some kind of dissolving fiber supplement. It's thick, gritty, and just sits in your mouth in the most unpleasant way.

I couldn't even finish half the scoop. I tried it a few times thinking maybe I was just having an off day but nope. Every time, same reaction: gag-worthy.

Save your money. There are way better flavors and preworkouts out there that actually taste like what they say on the label and don't feel like punishment to drink.
