Barebells Milkshake

Bought the Vanilla flavour and I it tastes absolutely amazing (like custard, as one of the previous reviewers said). It didn't leave me feeling too full or bloated, the perfect for the post gym shake. Didn't feel too thick or chalky like some other shakes on the market.

Only downside is the price, but if that's not a barrier for you then this is by far the best tasting protein shake on the market

I highly recommend the cookies and cream flavour. For around 200 calories you get 24 g of protein in a nice easy to drink 330 ml bottle. The bottle cap is the new type where they have it fixed to the bottle so it doesn't come off on its own.

Flavor is sweet and really smooth, and is very much like a simple milkshake from the shop, except this one is full of protein. I actually prefer it to my protein powder mixes at home, especially because I keep it in the fridge and ice cold is very very very nice.

Sadly these shakes do not even come close to my previous ones. I had to switch to lactose free…these have a horrible chemical taste..not very chocolaty at all.

Not sure why it took me so long to find this ! Delicious and bonus that it's lactose and sugar free.It's not to thick , no after taste and keeps me going until my next meal . I add to ice coffee sometimes , win win , for any coffee lovers .

These milkshakes have a lovely light chocolate and creamy chocolate flavour as per the description. I generally take them post workout to aid muscle recovery and their 24g protein is very good for the 330ml bottle.

I had it chilled, as is and it was a nice smooth liquid texture and tasted delicious. The only minor negative is the cap is fixed to the top of the bottle and that can lead to a drop or two getting on your face or clothes - so I tend to "rip the top off completely" to remove the risk of that.

They have 20grs of Protein per bottle in different flavours. They are good value for Money, Filling and vary good Quality. 👍

Opening to an 8 pack these come to roughly 2.50 a bottle. While thats a high price they do have about 3-5 grams more protein than most so i'd say the value for money is good as it returns in the low calories than buying 2 cheaper brands.

The flavour is nice and smooth which feels filling without bloat after about 30mins. Because they're so smooth they are easy to drink but are sweet so worth noting for those who might find it sickly.

This is a really good flavour. Been looking for a brand my girls will drink after football and the vanilla is a nice one. We have also added a shot of espresso to these and they make great protein coffee shakes.

I love these shakes! So hard to find a no added sugar protein shake which actually tastes good. It tastes like a delicious chocolate milkshake. I have as an afternoon treat as I don't have enough protein in my diet. It's cleaner than other protein products and doesn't cause any tummy issues like some.

Another great tasting protein shake from this company. My daughter enjoys the chocolate one. A convenient post football drink.

These do have a decent protein content at 24g per bottle which is about what I would expect for shakes like this which are typically 24-26g for a 330ml bottle. At 195 calories per bottle they are also not bad for calories either. For sugar content they are 12g per bottle which isn't bad considering I have seen similar shakes come in at over 20g.

I found the taste on the cookies and cream version very nice, better than I was expecting actually.

Aside from the sugar, the only downside to these is value, at £19.99 for 8, these are quite expensive, making them £2.50 per bottle which is right at the high end for a protein drink (with the low end being just over £1). So they are expensive if you were buying just one, but considering you are buying in bulk here and not just an individual bottle I would say they are very expensive.

If you are working out and actually need the protein then these types of drinks are not the way to go anyway, you can get far far cheaper prices per gram of protein by getting a big tub of whey protein instead. For the odd convenient protein boost these are pretty good ones but are definitely on the expensive end.

Such a great protein shake for busy days or after the gym. Ready to drink and it tastes lovely. Cookies and cream flavour tastes like a treat and it's not too sweet. Fills up well and keeps hunger away between meals. Lactose-free and low carb, easy on the stomach. Good value for the price. Very pleased. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would certainly recommend and purchase more!

I enjoyed these, better than a lot of other brands. No heavy feeling in stomach afterwards. In my opinion out of the different flavours this product comes in this tastes the best.

This product was sent to me for review as part of the My GYm Supplements Vine program. The following reflects my real-world experience using it.

I requested the shakes because I (at the time of writing) have to stick to a fairly liquid diet. They are surprisingly easy to drink; the texture is smooth and creamy, while the flavour is sweet without being overly so. I can very much tell that they are 'protein' shakes; however, there is virtually none of the powdery or unpleasant aspects I have previously tasted in similar products. They are also super nice when they have been in the fridge for a while, and the bottles are a perfect size to have as a meal replacement or snack.

After drinking one, I would say that I felt fairly satisfied, and didn't need to eat anything else afterwards, although I know that experiences may vary.

In summary, a good value item.

Good product - I've had before and bought here to avoid Barebell's delivery fees. However, one case was unsealed looking as though a bottle had already been taken out. I messaged the seller 3-4 days ago and no response. Unable to return or request a replacement!
