Beef Protein Powder (Tropical)

Purchased after having a few bad batches of NXT as require lactose free diet.

The taste on it's own with water isn't the best; smell is really good but unfortunately doesn't really taste of much however it's easily fixed by mixing in a bit of squash or juice. Mixability is fine but can become a bit too frothy if overmixed.

All in all great price compared to competitors with equally good macros, will definitely try more flavours in the future!

Great dairy free protein

Whey protein makes me break out, for years I've been using vegan proteins but I can't stand the texture. This protein is a great option for those that can't have dairy, the taste is fine, it is very sweet like others said but I add probably about double the amount of water it suggests which helps. Its super easy to drink compared to the thicker texture protein powders.

Worst flavour of the lot

I've had 3 different flavours of the beef xp and the blackcurrant millions is the absolute worst and ive only had one drink of it. . If I could send it back I would.

Orange and Mango Clear Protein

I am about to purchase my third tub of Applied Nutrition Beef XP's orange and mango. There weren't many reviews for this flavour but I find it refreshing and does not taste artificial. The item is cost effective when comparing protein ratio and calories.

I would say the tub is far too large but that does not detract from the quality of the clear protein.

Great if you're after lactose free

First time trying a beef protein shake, was sceptical at first but pleasantly surprised. Purchased the citrus twist, mix it with about 350ml of water and it tastes like a decent juice without being as filling as a whey protein shake. Can't comment on results however its very high protein, low carbs and low sugars.

Not bad, not great. Drinkable.

It does have the air of "medicine" about it that others have said but it's a lot like a blackcurrent cough sweet more than anything. It is extra sweet which is great in a calorie deficit and it has a bit of a weird starting taste but the aftertaste is fine and the more of it I drink the more it grows on me.

I've come from a different well known brand and typically I could find that I could add extra fluid to the other brand and retain the flavour it but this one seems like you shouldn't dilute it too much if at all.

The powder is extra fine and a level scoop is more than 30g, which adds up to why some have said it's not lasting as long as it should especially if you're used to heaping your scoops. A level scoop was anywhere from 33g-38g, the powder really is extra fine and I think it just settles well in the scoop allowing for more weight filling the volume of the scoop.

Would I buy this flavour again? No I'd try some others first but I wouldn't turn my nose up at it if the price was right.

Am I going to drink it all because it's "OK" and still drinkable for the price? Yes absolutely.

A game changing protein supplement.

After developing a lactose intolerance arising from an auto immune disease a few years ago, taking protein powders was always hit and miss due to their ingredients.

I used to buy Nativ Whey low lactose 95% whey isolate from Bacarel Express in 20kg bulk bags and mix it with Aldi's lactose free milk, but the powder product is no longer available. But now I have this. Was dubious at first, but after mixing a 30g scoop with 300ml of bottled water, it mixed brilliantly. No lumps or clumps. Dissolved pretty much instantly and tastes damn wobderful Tastes just like a juicey flavoured isotonic drink. I've had 4 of these so far and have has zero ill effects (see beginning paragraph).

30g scoop delivering 28g of protein mixed with 300ml of bottled water means it absorbs into your systems very quickly whilst also keeping your hydration up.

This will be my new go to protein source.

The best protein powder I've ever bought

Very delicious protein shake with a fair amount of calories and high protein content (everything else is very low, sugar, salt, fat etc.).

Easy to use, just pour a scoop into water, shake it and you're good to go, tastes just like tropical fruit juice, smells the same too.

The tub isn't too large which is nice, the powder only comes around halfway up the tub which makes it seem empty but it contains 60 servings so potentially two months worth, which for £35 really isn't too bad at all.

I assume it helps with workouts, I always find it useful to drink before and during workouts and I have seen a decent amount of muscle mass gained.

Arguably the best protein powder I've used (and I've tried several) will definitely be continuing to buy this, and you don't even need milk with this one, like you do with other powders, which makes it even easier to use
