Great.

I love this item. The taste is fake, but I honestly don't mind it all.

It's actually an Energy Drink

This is a great tasting product that gives a good boost. I like to mix myine with coconut water for a lovely drink. The reason I only give it 4 starts is because it's not really a pre-workout. The caffeine isn't high enough and it's missing essential amino acids and ingredients I would expect to see in a pre-workout. That being said, if you are caffeine sensitive, just looking for something that tastes great and will keep you alert, or you do light to moderate workouts this would be a good choice. If you can tolerate higher doses of caffeine, lift heavy, or do intense workouts and need a supplement that feeds your muscles and keeps you going, this is not the product you're looking for.

Fit For Purpose

I bought this product to give me an extra kick of energy at the end of a long day at work before going to the gym as I often feel tired/drained after working all day. I opted for optimum nutrition because I am aware that it is a good brand. I have never had a pre workout before so I didn't want to spend too much money which is why I went for the orange flavour (it was one of the cheaper flavours at the time). I think this was a mistake on my part because I am not too keen on this flavour at all which has put me off using it too often. It is perfectly fine to drink and it is not in any way horrible to taste but I just think I would have enjoyed other flavours more. As for its effects as a pre workout, I am not wholly convinced. I do not feel as though it really gives me any more energy than a piece of fruit or a strong green tea. My boyfriend has suggested having it first thing in the morning before having eaten anything else as he thinks it is more effective on an empty stomach! So at the moment the jury is still out on this I am afraid.

Hey Ho! Let's Go!

After waking up in the morning, the first thing I do is drink some water.

And then I shake up myself an Amino Energy drink, mixed with plain water, and 2 scoops, as per the product recommendation.

It's better than any tea or coffee out there for waking you up instantly in my opinion, and definitely helps me feel instantly alive and ready for a run or a workout.

It has a great amino profile, which acts as the perfect pre workout drink in my opinion (none of that jittery/digestive issues with this one). Haven't really tried it as a post-workout drink, but I'm sure it delivers when consumed after a workout as well.

The Lemon Lime flavour is sublime, as is the Watermelon, and Blueberry.

Highly recommended!
